Snowy and Ted haven't had a holiday for many, many years but today they travelled all the way from the Land of Upstairs to a VIP reception at Ollerbrook Cottages. In the lead up to their arrival we'd swept, we'd cleaned, the grounds had been cleared, we'd even put out the festive bunting. Finally, the moment was here and all was ready for their arrival.
Everyone was so excited, and after a quick welcome cup of tea in the garden Snowy and Ted decided they'd like to settle in. They were both a little tired, so we suggested they had an afternoon nap. We helped them with their belongings, and they declared themselves delighted and very comfortable with their well-appointed accommodation. Ted says it is the best place he's stayed in recent years, for bears like to live in woods rather than the Land of Upstairs, and Snowy says he's going to recommend Ollerbrook to all his friends, bears or otherwise.
We left them humming happily in that way the only bears can hum, and eating honey, of course.
Who knows, our next visitors might be human children. We can't wait to find out...
